Seasons of Creativity
Creative searching and sharing art. Plus easy art activities for you to make at home or in your community spaces.
Since the beginning of 2024, I have been searching for new projects, new passions and new experiences. I felt like I was in a season of creativity with ideas flowing freely. I fluctuated between wanting to organise a mini art festival for families, to starting a podcast, collaborating on a youth magazine and wanting to live in Greece for a year. All these things might be possible, but for now I have settled my focus on building a community art space (read more about community spaces here), writing here on Substack (read about my journey to Substack here) and learning a new skill; digital drawing.
Creativity is my jam; the thing that gives my life meaning and joy. I think this season of intense creative searching has been a reaction to all the bad we see in the world around us. It is my way to maintain positivity and share something joyful with the world.
Today I’m taking the step to share a few of my new digital drawings, in the form of climate action posters, for you or your community to colour. So much trial and error went into making these artworks and I still have lots to learn, but I’m really enjoying the process. I always try and remind myself, it’s not about producing the perfect artwork, for me it’s about what I learn on the way that matters.
Easy Arty Things
Each month (usually for paid subscribers, but this one is for free), I will share printable activities, colouring sheets and art prompts to inspire creativity at home or in your community spaces.
This month it’s all about the natural world. Below is a link to download the OUR ENVIRONMENT printable activity bundle, which includes 12 pages of creative activities all about nature and the natural world around us. Create a garden collage, observe the weather, go on a nature scavenger hunt, create a climate action protest sign and much more. Activities suitable for children age 4+.
I’m on a mission to share simple, creative art ideas with the world, support my work by subscribing to Creative Spaces.
